Alford Silver Band will start its busy 2012 concert programme off in Chapel St Leonards Village Hall on Saturday 11th February.
The popular band has built up a tremendous reputation for the variety of its music and the professionalism of its performances that looks to make 2012 busier than ever.
“It’s nice to start the year off at Chapel St Leonards,” commented band chairman Martin Briggs. “It has become very much a second home to us. We always get a good crowd there that is very enthusiastic. The band feeds off that and performs to the very best of its ability as a result.”
The band will be under the baton of musical director Steve Walker, one of the country’s top professional trumpet players and a first class entertainer who knows how to make an audience enjoy itself.
“We have a hectic year ahead of us,” continued Martin. “We already have almost 30 varied bookings confirmed, including several Christmas bookings, and more coming in all the time. We are looking to start with a big performance at Chapel that will set the tone for the rest of the year.”
The concert will start at 7.30 pm in the Village Hall in Sea Road, Chapel St Leonards. Tickets are incredibly good value at just £4, available from 01754 874480 or can be purchased at the door on the night.
